When buying Pots and Planters, think of your feet

Think back to the last time you bought a pair of business shoes. What made you choose them: Did they go perfectly with a certain suit? Did their distinctive design make them irresistible? Were you confident they would make the right impression? Apply the same criteria when choosing Pots and Planters and you will never go wrong.

Pots & Planters are the footwear of the plant world; complements that can make or break the whole. Just as cheap shoes will spoil an expensive suit, a rust-brown plastic pot will ruin the impact of a stunning plant. When you want your office plants to make a brand statement and project corporate values thrift-store pots are not fit for purpose. Plants chosen to express your company’s individuality need planters to match – Here are some tips to help you achieve the best fit.

1) What statement do you want your plants to make?
Mummie Plants are Statement Plants, designed to express business vitality and inspire confidence. A range of matching planters have been carefully chosen to bring out the best in each species. Choose a particular plant and we can guide you as to which pots and planters will reinforce its impact.

2) Which planters best fit your company image/brand identity?
Planters say something about your business. They show how prepared you are to aim beyond average, to go that little bit further to be outstanding. When making your choice of planters think, “How do we want people to see us?”: Sophisticated? Contemporary? Unconventional? Inventive? Eco-friendly? Solid? Practical? Playful?

No longer are you limited to the default terracota pot. Today you can think big, choosing pots and planters in a variety of shapes, colours and materials. You can even have them custom-sprayed using RAL colours to match your branding.

3) How can planters be arranged to achieve greatest visual impact?
As with advertising, repetition works. Combining planters in 2s and 3s creates way more impact. Two planters placed either side of a doorway create a much greater impression than several planters dotted randomly around a room. Lines of planters are particularly impressive and great for partitioning office floors and privacy-screening restaurants and canteens.

Uniformity is important, too. There is a reason why orchestras dress the same. In buildings where you have a lot of plants, create a strong, symphonic effect by limiting your choice of planters to one or two styles, repeated throughout.

4) What if my business calls for a unique style of planter?
Modern Planter manufacturers are highly flexible, catering for all manner of buildings, spaces and tastes. Even ‘standard’ ranges can be custom-sprayed to become unique. Planters can be made to multi-task as seating in airports and atriums. Nowadays, anything is possible. Again, the message is: don’t feel you need to limit your imagination when it comes to visualising your ideal pots and planters. Mummie Plants can make it happen.

Either we brief our suppliers on your unique planter requirements or, if they involve wood, we hand-make them ourselves in our Dublin carpentery workshop. So, if your business could do with making a bold new statement with a fresh set of planters (better still, including plants to match) we’d love to help.
